Shaun Michael Marcum (born December 14, 1981 in Kansas City, Missouri) was drafted in the third round, 80th overall of the 2003 Major League Baseball Draft, by the Toronto Blue Jays. Marcum shot up through the minors and made his MLB debut on September 6, 2005. He had a stellar year in 2005, despite a late season call-up.

Marcum went 3-4 for the Blue Jays in 2006 in 21 games including 14 starts. In his final 7 starts, had a winning record of 2-1 with a 3.31 ERA. During the first half of the 2007 season he has rejoined the rotation with great success. His record as of August 15th, 2007 is 10-4 (9-2 as a starter) with an ERA of 3.31. In his 17 starts in 2007, Marcum has pitched 6+ scoreless innings in 7 starts, including 2 instances where he pitched 6+ No-hit innings before being relieved, most recently on August 10th, 2007.
